it took me a solid day with a scraper and wire brushes to get all the built up grime out of all the crevices. once that was done i used crushed walnut media blast and went to town. it wasnt strong enought to strip to bare metal, but it finished beating all the grime and loose particles off. i ended up using that VHT chassis black epoxy paint in 3 coats. it turned out good, but powdercoating would have been a longer lasting setup. i know Sage is closer to you...see what they will charge to do it.

They're around $225-$275 depending on where you buy them. The 044 is an inline pump just like the Walbro you got.

gotcha def pay for quality i might be pushing close to 240 whp, but no more without doing internal work or bigger turbo.

well i'm not worried about taking it to bare metal, just getting grime and grease off and re coating. since its in pretty good shape maybe powdercoat will be overkill.

well i havnt given up on this build just everything i need is going to cost a grip. i need 1 more year to finish this and do it justice. it took 3.5 yrs to build it to get featured. so it will be 2yrs this coming august since i stripped it down and started fresh. i know alot of people were asking me @ the Spring Meet where the car was.

* i did pick up some rare oem 180sx kouki floor mats...pretty mint. i scored these from DR. SILVIA on EBAY. now i can get rid of the fakes

* i also have been waiting on FORTUNE-AUTO's rear arms. I did get the toe arms a few months ago and im waiting on the RUCA's to arrive ill mount the whole subframe at one time when i get them installed.

* i just need to install the front bumper components/ get the rest of my fuel cell fittings and tank mounted/ get wheels and get car resprayed.

* no worries im not running DRS wheels and what ever wheels i buy they will be 17" not 16"

I was always told that the rotors should go the other way.

Or is this a common misconception that I have been tricked into believing?.

Oh yeah.....Looking good dude. Now I just need to get my s14 back on the road.
