get a 1g dsm bov... sounds amazing! and is one of the strongest bov's out there. they do leak down after 17-18lbs of boost, but you can get a block off plate made to fix that problem.

edit: sounds similar to the type s

At 20 lbs mine holds perfect. I wouldn't think the type-S would be so popular, nor would it still retain value so well, if it sucked as bad as you imply.

i have the NGR Type S and i love it! i have it recirculated and it sounds amazing. and it works great and its a great quality piece. im not sure why they dont have any on ebay right now, but email them ngrperformance@gmail.com

and i have a couple videos on youtube of my car with it. if you do a search for NGR Type S you will see it. one is when it wasnt fully adjusted, and the other is adjusted correctly. sounds better in the original videos, some of hte quality was lost i guess uploading it. sounds even better in person.

and yes the original greddy type S bov had a bad diaphram that would tear over time. this has a very nice durable diaphram and they also cast the bov itself.

I know I haven't got a chance to say this in a few months, but it's really ricey to buy a BOV based on the sound. And no, it's not a performance part. Either it works or it doesn't.
I'm glad you like the sound it makes, but come on.. it's a BOV.

i had a diverter valve and i wanted more of a bov sound instead of the diverter valve sound. thats why i got it. and for $130 it works great. and it seems to seal better (getting 21-22 vacuum at idle sometimes, before the best i ever got was 20)

honestly i just got tired of people thinking i just had a focus with an exhaust cuz they didnt hear the bov.. haha

Your BOV is on the other side of your throttle plate. It has no effect on manifold vacuum with the throttle closed. Sorry.

if the bov doesnt seal well, it will leak at idle causing a vacuum leak.

there are guys who were at 15 vac before and after installing this new bov were at 19 vac. and have videos on youtube showing that
