What kind of motor do you have in that thing? I had a 95 with the stock motor and it was a little struggling trying to turn 33's.

3.slow... mated to a 5speed tranny.

she runs ok, right now it has no accelleration, i have 4.88s to put in the rear. didnt have time to break them in so i havnt put them in yet.

ya its sorta a dog, but she will run 75 on the interstate.. so im happy.

im thinking about doing the 3.4 swap, i have a full 3.4 sittin in the garage, i just have to get the harness which is like 800dollars from offroad solutions..

i gotta get my 82 back on the road first though.

they are some that we had laying arround.... they are stock with AAL and a 4 inch block. im gonna switch out (when i get the money) to marlins 4 inch lift springs and run a 2 inch block.

im running marlins spings up front. and so far i love them

im running a TRD in the rear and a detroit true track up front. im lookin for a set of swampers in the 36 to 37 inch range.

and duder, im running like 7 inches of lift.

Why not run Chevy springs in the rear? Better flex than Marlin, though a bit less lift. I have a set I would sell you for $50. I'm in NOVA. BTW, I have a worn set of 35" SSRs on black rock crawlers, if you wanted to get em unmounted, you could have all 4 for $75.

BTW, did you use the Marlin kit? I need to SAS my 88 4runer. The damned Galant VR4 takes far too much of my money, though.

i didnt use chevys, simply because i didnt want to :) i wanted to stay with all toyota. my original plan was to do a 3/4 elliptic leaf spring setup, so i would get plenty of flex... well i scrapped that idea and jsut threw yota springs under it... later i will change the rears out to marlins 5" springs... or maybe a 4link king coil???

no i didnt use the marlin kit, i used factory toyota hangers, and a 2" reciever hitch for the front hanger, the rear was toyota hangers and Sky-manufacturing shackle hangers. i used marlins shock hoops, and i used f350 6" lift shocks.

i used marlins rotors, and IFS calipers. as well as brakelines.

The sas is simple, if you stick with toyota, it can be done in 8 hrs of work... very straight forward. just start collecting parts... and regardless of what ANYONE says, DONT DONT DONT use a d44 on that truck... it makes no since.

btw... if you need a hood/tailgate/fender/door for that truck... lemme know, ive got plenty.

hahaha... do the d44 it's stronger.

bullshit... prove it.

i guarentee you that my toy axle will last just as long as your d44 there is hardly any difference in the ring gear size, and the only way people eat up axles is by driving stupid.

hows the sas workin for ya.... i know you are glad to have it back... and believe me im glad to get it out of my garage :) that thing was a bitch.

I don't know it's in there somewhere. It's whatever. It probably wasn't worth it, but I like it. I'm just trying to get 4wd back. I'll probably give Tim a call sometime this week.

Do you have any black passenger front fender that works on a 90 pickup?

How much did the swap cost you?

As far as the chevys, I do hear the Marlins flex well once broken in, but the Chevys are better from what I've seen (besides about getting caught on rocks). It is a pain to get em setup right, though.

im about to go to chevys, i just orded them up... i was gonna do the marlin springs, but they are freakin 400 dollars for a set, and you gotta remount the hangers, so i said screw that and bought chevy perches from sky and the springs from jcwhitney as well as a ubolt flip kit all for like 375

Yeah you'll like the chevy's. I was flexing mine out pretty good on some rocks in my backyard. They'll flex alot better when I mount my shocks like / \
I'm trying to swing by next week to pick up the parts I left in your garage. Oh yeah, are you trying to sell that 3rd?

Looks good. The 15.50's give it a mean ass stance. Are you going to make a front shaft with a rear? I'm probably just going to stick 4.56's in my front diff and take my front shaft to standard parts and see if they can work something out. PM me your #.
