im considering getting a new quad. dont know which one but its gotta be a honda.

does anyone ride in va beach? and if so where the fuck do you go? i use to ride my dirt bike back in IPSWICH but i know theres gotta be something better. being originally from arizona... i could ride for miles in my back yard. i miss that shit.

We ride every weekend. Not for miles and miles but it's enough to cure the addiction for a week or so and the people are cool as shit. Heard a rumor that a place in surry was open again from a accident about years ago. We'll prolly check it out this weekend.

Ah one thing the extreme is good at. It's close but my 400ex fits like it was made for it. Still havn't tested it in pulling the trailer with all the bikes on it but i'm sure that will be a sight.

yes Slades in surry is open daily. 9 am till sun set. 15.00 per bike, 5.00 per spectator.
they require a helmet and sign a release.

For your question on bikes... Fuck a honda, they suck ass.. yamaha or suzuki. i have a friend with a trx 450, its been in the shop enough to qualify for the damn lemon law, i dont like the trx 450 that much. its a single cam, motor.

if you have money go with the YFZ 450, that is a sick ass bike, pretty much race ready from the factory. if not go with the suzuki Z400, they are a excellent bike for the price and really buildable!!! plus they are dual cam motors and run smooth like butter.

a hitch on the teggy would be just fine, get a small trailer just the size of the bike.

we ride alot, usually down at slades now that the local "spots" kinda got fucked over.

i got a built 97 cr250 and a 2000 cr125 they both get along just fine. 125's carb is a little tricky and requires fuel stabilizer if it isnt started once a month but other than that it's great. i live bout 15 minutes from slades, used to go up there a lot but havent been in a long time (obviously)

its only 15 dollars to ride all day, from 9 am till dark.

there is a camp ground right down the road to camp at, and they have 3 tracks, one is a circle flat track that is perfect for atv's

then they have a mini MX track, that is still flat (not any berms) so you can "flat track" the corners, which is a really fun track, alot of tight turns and stuff. and they have 2 small jumps on that track which are not bad at all.

then they have the big track, which is huge, big tables and airs. and some berms, mostly 2 wheel bikes are on that track.

the nice thing about the place is they groom it nicely, much better then slades, they just need a water truck to calm the dust down a bit. def dont go without goggles.

I used to go with my brother and my stepdad alot, but now that I work alot and they do to, we can't go riding too much. I was out there the day the kid got hit, it was scary shit, and I really didn't ride much after that.

Hell yeah Slades is real bumpy! I told "Big Red" (the big guy that rides around makin sure shit is cool) that the trails were real bad cuz of all the roots sticking up and that the open field needs to be smoothed out. He said they are already planning on fixing all that!
I just heard about Morgans Corner. Never been. Is it a cool place to ride? I was trying to go there this past weekend but they closed the track cuz of all the rain. :(
Morgans Corner is 35 bux....Slades is 15. Is it worth it?

i was riding out a at lake gaston there's plenty of trails but they really dont mind if you ride on the street either.. we were riding wheelies on the street till about 1am with 4 people on 1 bike.... got just plain crazy after a few drinks :D

or everyone can come out to suffolk. me and about 2 to 15 guys ride everyweekend, slacked off some cause of the cold but ill keep riding, hunting season has started so we usally only ride on sunday. it will take a whole day to cover all the trails. we got a 1/4 clay track with lil jumps around about, the track is banked as well, sand pits, rock piles, jumps, more circle tracks, lots and lots of trails, fields that you can ride a wheele for over a 1/4 mile. eveyone can come out some time if ya want.
