Anyone got a hook up on toyota parts?

I'm looking for a steering coupling (aka rag joint) that connects the steering yoke and steering shaft at the gear box on a 88 toyota 4runner 4wd. The only person that seems to have it is the dealer for $250+ dollars. Carquest has a "universal" for $6-7 which seems kinda funny. Anyone try the universal before either?

The only other place I can think of is Johnsons Mustang and Truck. I have never had a problem finding anything there.

is this for your body lift? i think i have a whole ifs steering box from a 88 4runner.

I was having someone explain to me what I have to do to my steering shaft in person and they noticed it for me. He said it wont interfere with my lift though. Yeah I'll buy it from you if you have it and its in good condition.

k.. no luck on the rag joint.. i checked and i didnt pull that off the truck before it went to scrap... just the steering box for crossover steering conversions.

all i can get you is a discount from the dealership on parts....its pretty good....i use to work at denbigh toyota and they still hook me up

use a U joint instead, may take some fabbing, but it will be tighter.
