Na is just engine nothing sprayed or forced into it, the engine just sucks air all by itself. forced induction is blower or turbo, and then you have the juice. get a h-22 they have 200hp (i am a ford guy so i have know idea what it is but they say it comes with 200 hp.

Find an Integra LS motor and tranny (you can find one to swap into that old Honda for under $1K) and turbo that bitch. Oh yeah, you wanna stay NA? Well, ummm that's gonna be a little more costly. Since the CRX is so old you could probably pick up an older GSR motor cheaper than the OBD2 ones or Type R's. If you want it to be really quick without FI, you'll need to build the motor which will cost you quite a bit. Good luck!

SCREW NITROUS!! Sorry had to throw my opinion out there blatantly. I bought my car for $500, have put about $4k in repairs and slight go fast stuff, probably runs mid 15s and I'm on a real budget, but still still still wouldn't put nitrous on it.
My $.02

B16A...$1500 with tranny easy to find for that price. Will it fit? Read an article in a SCC about them doing it once...

I was just joking. My exhaust is very deep at low RPM's. The other noise comes from various rattles.:D

HASport makes mounts for a B series in a first gen CRX. Expect to pay about 300 bucks +or- for the mounts. Then your gonna need linkage ($?) the motor and tranny itself (~$1600), axles (~$100), and installation. It would be a pretty big job to swap it into a first gen but it should be a beast when it's done.

Well either a B-16 B18 or H22 would be the best choice. Mounts should be easy to find. Then you'll need new cams, pistons, rods, crankshaft, polished and ported heads, intake, a carefully chosen exhaust, cam sprokets, and some HONDAT work done. Oh yeah and a new tranny, bigger rims, probably some new halfshafts, bigger brakes, a new suspension setup, some STB's (you know thoes hatchbacks...) and then you'll have it fast. Maybe. I have NO garuentees about pretty... but as long as it doesn't end up ;like this you should be aight...

2 Routes
NA- CRVTEC P/P head, some internals. I/H/E..12.8s on slicks all motor

FI- Any engine will do. Build up internals, proper tuning, correct turbo for your setup. 300-400 hp hi 11s-12s.

it's all about what you want to do..and the tuning you get done..remember you get what you pay for.. my .02

Good luck fitting that H22 in there. No, you're tranny won't fit.

Personally I would just go Turbo B20.

Thats just about the tiniest Honda you can start with for a swap project. Good luck and get one of those engine shrinkers while you're at it, and maybe a good can of grease to help everything slide in place before you start with the big hammer... You'll have a hell of a quick NA car when you're done though, light light light....
