Hey
i see that you have a turbo hatch and i was wondering if you were running a t3/04e, not sure if you are because i have not seen your setup. I have a '95 CX with a B18C (lsd) and am going turbo. Also are you on USDM or JDM?

i see that you are running the t3/04e. If you are going to go bigger what turbo are you thinking of? I am getting
GARRET T3/60-1
Turbo housing .82 A/R TURBINE
Turbonetics Stage 5 wheel
(thought i would post in this thread becasue its kinda off the topic of the other thread)
Those specs ( from my limited turbo knowledge) should be nice when done,

with the .82 you are going to have more lag then what turbo hatchy has. well, maybe not, he lowered his compression with a thicker head gasket. that will give some lag. what kind of power are you trying to make? what injectors are you going to use. you 2000lbs car don't have to make big power to be fast. i would think a nice k26 or a t28 would be great for the b18 that didn't want to make more then 300fwhp. but i guess the t3 to4e is so cheap for what it is. its a great turbo but i never understood why the kits for hondas always used them. i would think a honda would want power lower in the powerband. i small t25 would make a b16 feel like a v8 down low. the t25 doesn't have lag at all. i used to have 15psi by 3000rpm and what was with low compression too. but yeah, you'll make big powe withthat turbo.

stage 5 wheel isn't all that great from the people i have talked to that used them. if you think you need to go that big use a small (~.58a/r) T4 turbine housing with an O trim wheel. otherwise, put a stage 3 wheel in the .82 housing and call it a day. either way, stay away from the stage 5 wheel.

I am going for 500+hp, here is a quick list of what i have been looking at:
-GARRET T3/60-1
Turbo housing .82 A/R TURBINE
Turbonetics Stage 5 wheel
-Equal length exhasut mani (Stainless steel)
-TAIL 40mm waste gate
-PWR back door Intercooler (2-120 24x7.9x3.5)
-Greddy Type R BOV
-Walboro 255 high pressure fuel pump
-750cc injectors
-JG Edelbrock intake mani
-Port Polish
~1mm over SS exhaust valves
~1mm over SS intake valves
-Eagle Rods
-JE Pistons (8.8cr)
-Sleeves
-Thermal 3in exhasut
-ARP Head studds
-Hondata S200
-Gauges + Electronics (Greddy)
~the reason i want the stage 5 wheel is becasue once you get to the hp i want the stage 3 chokes the engine

i think that you will have a hard time getting that kind of power with that turbo. you need like a straight t4 or a t66 or something bigger. anyone else think so? what is the stage 5 wheel?

that turbo is good for 600hp
seen that turbo make 500whp on B16A (bored to 1.7L equvialent)
plus lotsa tuning and clearly race fuel ;)

yeah, whether you *can* get 500 hp out of that turbo or not, it would be much easier to 500 out of a straight T4 with only a slightly slower spool.
why not do a B20 bottom end?
note - the are mid 10 second dsms running stage 3/.63 combos...

Sorry it took me so long to get on this...All the info you are hearing tho is very good. I would also stay away from stage 5 wheel I have a 3, I have a t3/04e 60-1 .63a/r. Me and my friends at home all have the same setups, but most with a dif turbo...this turbo has really seemed to be the best choice for a b18c. b16 doesnt spool as nice with it, still nice though. As for your HP goals, you would def need to go strait t4 probably a t04s would be nice for that HP. I havent seen any 500hp t3/04s not that there arent any its just not the best way to do it. I would also try to find something other than the hondata. Yes the hondata is a great unit, but it is nicer to have something that is always user tunable at all times with a laptop without having to burn rom chips. The AEM EMS...is a hard system to get used to and get the base maps down but the thing it self is an incredible unit that out performs any other for the price. This is just my opinion though.
How much boost do you plan to run?

Turbohatchy is tuned for 19 psi on race gas..so his 1 bar on the street is not tuned properly..but I'm told it still kicks in ;)

Why get a B20 bottom when hes going to sleeve the block anyway, I hope hes going to sleeve it to 85mm (~2.1L) if hes trying to make that kind of power.

85mm 2.1l...that would all depend on the stroke of the crank but no way that 85mm could get more than a 1.9l. But def is not gonna get those HP figures out of a 1.8

i have seen 500 hp out of B16A2 bored 84.5mm which is about 1.7L and it had a 8.8 compression. It was running the turbonetics T3/60-1 .82 on 24lbs of boost.

also i believe that you can tune hondata by yourself you need to get the datalooger, rom edtor and pocket programmer. But i like the EMS a lot but its a pretty penny and hondata offers a 'g'
sensor so right now i am leaning towards hondata but the EMS is the next.
What are you using turbo hatchy, FMU?

fmu + 19psi = bad, so i doubt that's it...
holy crap! i'm suprised he didn't break the dyno with all that torque!

Thats Terrys car and your right about everything but the compression, I believe it was about 9.8:1 not 8.8. If your looking for the EMS I have a brand new one still in the box never opened for 00-01 teg's I will seel you for $1000.
