Lets not play a game about where we are going to meet. Last time we meet at the McDonalds on Hampton Blvd near 64. Same place this time. Lets meet at 8:30 am. What does everyone think? Also, for those who are wondering about the rain. They will still run even in the rain from what I have heard from Eric. Maybe being late in the driving order will help everyone out (it might clear up later in the day). Eric also said the course is going to be set up very similiar to the National course. Should be very nice.

damnit steve its my job to announce the super secret spot. and by the way its North Hampton blvd. But yes steve is correct. it will be 8:30am at the MCDonalds on North Hampton Blvd.

Directions!!!!
take 64 to North Hampton Blvd (heading East)
go down about a mile and on the right will be Mc Donalds
it comes up quick so dont be driving too fast.
anyone and everyone can come, you dont have to be an autox nazi to meet with us.

If you are going to announce it then announce it. Some people only tune in every once in a while and then we have a mad rush of people going "where are we meeting" "is that a good time" "which northhampton" "blah blah blah blah" I think more then one days notice is appropriate. Sometimes people internet goes out and then I/they would be screwed. My neighbor cut thru everones telephone lines and cable yesterday (I only lost my phone lines). I was without phone for 24hours and some people were without cable/internet for just as long. If it had happened today I am sure I would not have gotten any messages. That is why I posted.

And I will not be at McDonalds at 8:30 am. I am going to tune in and look at the weather first. Standing in the rain in 50degree weather is not my idea of fun. My wife has promised me a day at my favorite restaurants with her and I may take her up on that offer instead. Registration will close at 10:30 and first car is off at 10:30 AM. Don't show up late if you do plan to run.

OK. it's over now, this is the start of the results.

my times were of the sort of
1:03.4
1:01.2
1:01.0
1:01.5

FTD was Kienen (normally in the yellow crazy stang) w/ his WRX at a smooth 1:00.8 so i believe i was second fastest :) i give credit to my paradas, they work so well in the rain. even though the day was wet and cold as hell, i had a good time cuz i was well prepared for it. PAX wise, i'm assuming i got first, and first in STS class too. anyways, i enjoyed the day. it was so exciting competing neck and neck for FTD. if the next even is dry then i'll probably be back to the norm.

Eric16v

Dave, you car was probably the best car to have for the conditions.
long wheel base = predictable handling
auto = not alot of wheel spin
abs = braking without lock up (assuming you have abs)

I think I could have run a 1:02 if I will ever get around to fixing my shifter bushings (2nd gear was hard to find on 2 of my runs). Best was a 1:03.???

lightningd, those are some impressive times I was in awe when they announced the times.

I on the other hand didn't do as well in my rear drive, balding street tires...

1:23:?? and missed a gate
1:17:??
1:12:??
1:10:??

I basically improved about 5 seconds on every run but the last

about 40-50 cars maybe, and...
:fu: buddy :)
actually, we would have been really close on this course, there wasn't a lot of straights for you torque monster to rape me on. i was competing w/ the wrx which has 230+hp to get the idea. i wish you were there, maybe all 3 of us could have been making it a hell of a race.

long and wide wheel base is one reason accords handle well
my auto is a actually and electrical tranny, so it can be driven manually just w/out the clutch. it even says it in the owners manual heh. needless to say, i shift it. i do get a little bit of wheelspin when i'm leaning due to the open dif.
and no abs here, i locked 'em up plenty of times. even on the fastest run.

TSCC November 2002 Autocross - Little Creek ACU-4

Here are the results from the TSCC Nov. 17 2002 autocross. There were 43 participants
who decided to autocross regardless of the much less than perfect weather. Deep
tread and all-wheel drive was the order of the day since the rain kept getting worse
as the day progressed. Working the course and keeping dry was almost impossible
due to the rain combined with the wind blowing off the Chesapeake Bay. I want
to give a special thanks to everyone who braved the weather. Curtis

Finished a clean 1st in PAX...MADDD SKIZZZILLLZZZ. hehe. anyways, it was fun. gettin' off to a nice start for the 4 round series. it's gonna be difficult to hold off others for the next 3 events. we'll see what happens. looking to adding a front strut bar and a new custom intake help that effort out.

PS. i just noticed that it put Kienen and his dad's times for the mustang, yet, he was driving the WRX. so chad, if you see this post, ya need to fix it.

I think they did that on purpose. I have done it on purpose before driving a stock car that would normally run in DSP just for points in my class.

That does not seem fair to me.

Why not? You are driving a car that is less prepared than the cars in your class and if it was modified to the point where it would be in SP, then it would be in your same class.

The mustang is CP. You can not get a WRX to run in CP no matter what you do to it. It is not a CP car. The WRX was perfect for those conditions. He choose to run the WRX because he knew it would run faster (plus he probably wanted to stay dry and didn't have any rain tires). He did not pick the slower car out of the goodness of his heart. It might meet the letter of the rules as this club chooses to view it but I am confident that if the skys opened up at a national event that they would not let a modified WRX run outside of its class. In the end I really dont care. Its all for fun at this point for me.

CP has a tougher PAX than STS or SM, but your right, it is all for fun.

I would agree with Steve.

I think you could pull it off if they were in a stock mustang, but not the WRX.
But I don't really care.
Hahaha

Yeah it is up to you to class yourself. Email chad or curtis and let them know. They will correct it.
