View Full Version : Flooded bike ...

You guys give me some help here ...Im thinking Im gonna have to pull the plugs but , Im not sure. 98 CBR I tried to start it last night and must have flooded it with the choke. Its start to backfire very loud after a few starts and smells gasy. Stupid mistake I know. Any helps guys

i would definetly pull the plugs at the least, it isn't too hard on your bike... but clean them with gasoline and a fine wire brush, if you have a air gun blow some of the fuel out of the cylinders, if not just evaporating while your cleaning the plugs should be enough... that should do it, if not just get new plugs and you should be fine

Pulling the plugs on a Honda? Use the tool kit that came with the bike!!!!!!!!

Trust me; much easier than trying to use a regular ratchet/socket!!!!!!!!!

my F3 didn't come with a tool kit, so if you had to use a rachet/socket like i did try the ol' chewed bubble gum in the socket to pull out the old plugs... or you can loosen them out of the threads completely and then just push the spark plug wires back over top of them and pull them out that way... but if i remember correctly changing plugs on a F3 wasn't all too bad
