Talk about dissapointment:
The new Acura RSX only pulls a 16.1 in the 1/4 mile, and Hasports Civic only pulls a 15.6. :wtf: I have a 92 Acura Integra with an intake, short shifter, MSD, and a pretty hollow exhaust (basically not much down to the car) and I pull a 15.6 roasting the hell out of crappy tires. It'll do better as soon as I get some better tires and lauch a little better. Can someone explain this to me?

BTW The Acura RSX--> :barf:

Although it seems that those magazines are getting better, they're still mainly Honda focused. When they do have something else featured, it's usually a Focus or some bullshit. You hardly EVER see any Z's; sometimes an RX-7 but rarely. At least you can count on some Skylines being featured every few months. I only really check out Turbo mag now. Or MaxPower UK if I'm at Barnes and Nobles, but only cuz of the naked sluts posing. :D

Thats cuz Hondas Own....Honestly, Hondas are at the top of the import scene right now.

RSXs are running high 14 to 15 flats. If you read the article you see that it was over 110 degrees outside and very humid. Hondas are very temp sensitive

as far as i'm concerned (since i drive an acura) sport compact is good for me, but i agree that it might not be that good for other drivers. as for the focus, in this months mag it pulls low 13's. i don't like the focus, but thats impressive until you read that it cost an extra $15,000 to get there. but none the less 13 is still 13. i used to drive a neon and if you read the article on the neon thats pretty impressive too. for about the same price as the acura rsx you can spank the hell out of most of the stock cars coming out now. for me i can't wait to see it hit the streets.

and as far as the weather affecting the times, another example, AEM's RSX only pulled a 15.3 w/o nitrous and with it pulled 14.2, and thats with a shit load of stuff done, including suspension. overall i think i've come to the conclusion that the RSX just sucks.

thats what i'm saying, a 15.3 out of a car like that with that much done to it just isn't impressive

You talk a lot about speed. How fast is that Volve? Just because you have boost doesnt make you fast. Volvo's are also heavy. PM me if you like. And no I am not knocking the Volvo. I have owned one and it was a good car overall. Boring but good. Mine was stock of course.

HELLO??? Correct me if I'm wrong here guys, but the HaSport Si has a RSX Type S engine swap in it. It has the K20A2 engine from a Type S. Still though, the stock Si with the K20A3 ran a 16.2. Chad is right, the RSX is a little on the heavy side, hence the similarity in times. Who knows, maybe I misunderstood the statement.:o

Because they are the cheapest to buy, build up, get parts on, etc...

They also said in the article that it was really hot outside and that had it been alot cooler, the car would have run much better, plus we all know that hondas run better when its cooler...

I could put $6k in a Turbo2 and wax any (factory) Vtec thing you have.
The $600 goal is a bit closer, but it could still be done. 87-92 (factory) Vtec anything = 87-92 Turbo2, 93+ (factory) Vtec anything = 93+ RX7 TT

Yup, 6K is the magic number for everything you need to build and run a 400HP 13BT.

Your a fucktard dude, you've been flooding this info around with absolutely no idea of what your talking about. I have an RSX, a REALLY HEAVY ONE!, and my stock time pulled a 15.3, no mods. With my aem intake I turned a 14.7, all of these are stock tires. Read the article, the nitrous aem rsx pulled a 14.2, with the No2 set to kick in at 5000rpms. It had engine internals done, and I think aftermarket tires, and springs. So those times did seem slow as shit, but I'll tell you straight up that the car is not as slow as your percieving it to be. Read all you want, I get my information from experience.

i would have to disagree with you on that sir. they make for fun sleeper value but are WAY too costly to make fast if you ask me.
