What kind of top is that. Looks different. Almost like a convertible but ZO6 are only hartops aren't they.

I never heard of that either.

...and I wonder how the previous owner managed to lose the ambiant air temp sensor cover (by the ignition). Does it have an aftermarket stereo/alarm?

Never heard of a Polo, Polio (whatever) ZO6. I thought they were all hardtop's and the tops were the same color as the car???????

So what do you think it is? It's a 2001 hard top coupe with 6 speed, ZO6 wheels and vents and badges on the side.
I'll see if I can check the engine code in the Vin to see if it has the LS6 Vin code. If it does not have the LS6 engine code, it's not a ZO6, if it does, which it should, then it's a ZO6.

just after what i saw on that thread and when i worked at a car wash there was a guy with a fake Z06... i dunno tho. does it pull, turn and stop like a z06? cause thats all that counts

Well, I haven't driven any other C5 besides this one so I have no basis for a comparison.
Only way to make a fake ZO6 would be to have a C5 Coupe and use that, regular C5's are targa hatch and have a large hatch window, this one has a trunk and small hatch glass.

Not true, that style is called the C5 Hardtop or FRC (fixed roof coupe), which came out in 1999 long before the Z06.

That one has the wheels and vents (which a lot of c5 guys get aftermarket) and the LS6 engine covers and badges, but those are cheap. With those mods it would only take about $1300 to convert a FRC to look exactly like what you got (except for that glued on cloth stuff)

I'll check the vin code, that should tell me if it's a ZO6 or not.
