Any of you guys signing up for the D&D Track Day at VIR? May 24th. For additional info, call Bryan at D&D Cycles (757-423-1082). Tell him octane mag sent you!

Riders will be separated into groups depending on skill level. If you've never been to a track day before, you will start in the beginner group - don't complain. Nobody is as fast as they think they are first time out and we can all stand to learn something.

You must have good condition, sport tires at minimum. You must have full leathers - 2 piece ok. Helmet and boots must be snell approved. You must wear a spine protector. No exceptions, you will not be allowed on track without the proper gear. All fluid retaining bolts must be safety wired.

Hope to meet some of you there.

How much? I'm definetly very interested, doing the Cornerspeed race school but I'd like to get one no pressure track day in this year before to freshen up

Don't remember offhand. I think $180, but don't quote me on that. Call Bryan and he'll answer all your questions. They're good people over there.

Kool, I didn't think anyone else from around here was going. Me and a buddy will be going up sunday dropping the bikes and staying in south boston for the night. Then we will arrive bright and early to the track on monday to get it on! Well, see you guys there. I have a Blue 04' R6 with blue white and black Joe Rocket 2pc. My buddy has a white 1 piece and has an 04 R6 (silver) a Blue 03 R6 and another 03 R6 (it's red but his race plastics shouldn't be painted if he even has it up there). Feel free to come up to our tent and say hello. This will be my first track day at VIR so I will see you all there.

Later,

Sean C.

unfortunetly i won't be able to make it... i'm starting my new job that day so i can't ask off first day on the job, plus i'm sending my f4i's forks to thermosman that weekend and won't have them back til probably tuesday, i'll ride the gixxer on the track again, but i'd really rather do the whole day on the track bike

but let me know next time any of you guys go, anyone doing the full course?

That sucks, i wish you could of joined us, it would have been fun.
as far as riding on the track, i don't have any other track days planned after this trackday, but i plan to do atleast one more track day this year(hoping to do more, tho).
After the D&D trackday, i plan on converting my bike back to street usage and maybe do some charity rides.

I was in the intermediate (sp) group. It was only my second time out so hopefully I will get better. Thank you for the compliment.
