View Full Version : Manual Tranny's with 200hp dont spin tires!
"man u know nothin about tire spinnin.. i didnt say that peeps with manuals dont spinn i am just sayin that u dont have enough hp to break them loose Read the post again damn there goes ur high school education coming in.. i was just talkin about u not everyone on the whole goddamn planet their goes ur stupidity showing again.... rethink before u post somethin..
Im a horrible driver hehehe dont make me laugh just by pressing the gas and i spin u wouldnt be able to drive my truck because u wouldnt be able to keep it on the road .. u dont know anything about a rearwheel drive vehicle just shows ur ignorance..."
Does this make sense to anyone?
I've seen a 117hp civic break traction.
Do I really not know anything about "tire spinnin" or is this quote useless?

I think it's saying do it in a straight line without touching the clutch. Just simple power on wheel spin. Most of the Honda guys can't even fathom such an idea as spinning the tires without trying to.
tell him it has nothing to do with hp...but everything to do with torque. Then flame his ass for being harder to understand than a FOB trying to type English.

Tell him he obviously doesn't have an education, cause he doesn't know how to use punctuation.

he was just talking shit. ever heard of it? where you just attack the other person fervently and sometimes nonsensically for any or no reason whatsoever? here it is-
i was just talkin about u not everyone on the whole goddamn planet
he's just talking to YOU. no one else. he doesn't care if 117 hp civics or 60 hp metros can break tires loose. he doesn't care if you can! all he cares about is talking shit. obviously he isn't very good at getting his point across but it doesn't matter.
and vtecnology had a good point too.

I have an auto, and can spin 1st and 2nd.... but I have like over 400HP at the flywheel, and prolly 500ft/lb of torque
Damn automatics! always breaking!

I've done it in our Neon... when it was wet... starts spinning 1st at ~4500 to 6000RPM's
but thats the only time it'd do it... and yes, its bone ass stock w/ 132HP? (SOHC)

I'm almost sure that's what he's saying. My friends car back home could spin tires if he was cruising at about 20 or so miles an hour or so, light on the gas, then stomp it. That's what the guy meant. Show me any import that can do that...
Not even big HP (import) guys can do that, not until the turbo kicks in anyway.

Actually I did that last night in the CRX. Stepped on the gas and burnt the tires up as soon as VTEC switched. It was kinda cool, I think this car's gonna be a blast.

plus, there's a big difference between chirping the tires and actually breaking them loose.

You left out the import part of my statement... "until the turbo kicks in" :p
It's no dumpin the clutch or anything, with it in gear, break the tires loose. I know Supra's are powerhouses, but I didn't think they'd have the torque to do that without boost. If yours can... rock on
My rotary will NEVER be able to do that. Once I upgrade the turbo, then I'll be able to with any good amount of boost.

I could spin tires in my old 88 geo spectrum. It was only a 1.4l sohc, 8 valve, 2 barrel carb, 5 speed.

FWD's have the weight transfer advantage... you (FWD cars) don't count :p
A RWD anything that can do that is pretty cool.
