FOX News On Street Racing

i was just watching like channel 23 and i saw the last min of a street racing discussion. all i heard was "that would be a good idea to stop street racing" and i didnt see what they said before! anyone see this and want to fill me in!?!?

i have the news story on tape that channel 13 did about a year ago when they went "undercover to bust street racers" and they were graciously invited by Ultraspeed to one of their meets . The only deaths I hear of are idiots racing one on one on the freeway and crashing into a wall or something. its not gonna stop the cops should just do what they do now..roll through and everyone leaves.

They were talking to the chief of police from San Diego. They have started this thing where the cops set up drag racing events in a parking lot at some stadium to try to cut down on illegal street racing. I dont know if this is the same thing you saw or not but it was just on like 10 minutes ago.

hell yea i jsut saw there they were talkin bout fining a person up to 1,000 dollars for watching illegal street racing too. they are tryin to crack down on it hard

Yeah the set up on Friday and Sat nights at QUALACOM Stadium ... Where the Chargers and Padres play ... they move stone barries around and mark off half miles ... and it starts at like 12 Noon ... and goes till midnight I believe ... my dad lives out there and we checked it out during spring break ...

im not a police fan or anything but if i owned some of the stores where people 'hang out' at id call the cops in a second. have you noticed cops dont come when like 5-10 people/cars get together but when the kiddiots come through bassing and 'burning tires' they get called. if you use common sense the police wont interfere. theyre just people too :D

dont post spots and when they show tell them to get the fuck out. ricers wont show up when only 5 or 6 cars are there. why the hell would you want to hang outside in this weather anyways? i do it occasionally because i dont have anything to do til late but for real it is cold as shit outside

i'm goin to throw out a random guess that you are all new. (well new to me) and dont realize that we've had that conversation too many times to count. Ricers are abundant (moreso in San Antonio and CA.) and there is nothing you can do about it. Random isolated spots that change often were the best solution, but people whine about not being invited, and any other times many people don't show up anyway. Yeah... i forgot what i was going to say, this thread is gay.

the way i see it, as long as there are cars theres street racing. plain and simple. that car thats fuckin with you on your way home from work...so youre enticed into a race. street racings never gonna go away.

LOL...mines 49, and he remembers back when they raced on Magruder, and the 1/4 mile marks were done..lol..the ones that are still there (?) today...lol. Dad owned a z28, t-tops, jet black, and it was totaled when a 17 yr old, no license, no permit, in a stolen truck hit him..talk abotu bad luck, that was almost MY car. *cries*
