ok, since i know im gonna get lots of questions on "how"...

first, you need to download an iRC client... say, for example, mIRC.
click here to download: http://mirc.secsup.org/mirc603.exe

install it and stuff, and then when you're at the options screen thing, either select "connect to random DALnet server" or type in /server irc.dal.net

then once you get a nick and stuff, type in /join #dragva

ok i assume you have a linksys router. in the advanced -> forwarding tab, enable port forwarding on port 113 for both tcp and udp (enter ur comps ip as well). best dalnet server is jade.va.us.dal.net

erm not sure, dont have one. but, i believe the netgear and linksys setup screens are similar. type http://192.168.1.1 (or whatever your router's ip is). browse thru each tab and look for port forwarding. if you lost ur manual for it, get on netgear.com

I use a linksys router and had to open port 113. Are all the routers IP's similar or is it different on every computer? If they are all the same and you have a linksys then the addy is http://192.168.254.254 and then go to advanced settings > virtual server and enter it there

the ip address u enter is yours. if ur on nt/xp/2k pro, goto run -> cmd -> and type ipconfig . ur computers local addy should be something like 192.168.x.x

There is a hack that actually embeds the IRC chat INTO dragVA.
