I usually don't stop, seriously. Today, while leaving TCC I saw a guy on leaning up against a walking cane. I recognized him and once I passed him, I felt like shit because he was just smiling away at people driving by.

I had nothing to do and I didn't turn around, I felt like poo. Story on this guy.

When I was little, my mom and sister would always say 'hey theres danny' and I would look out the window and see him with his two walking canes(He has a hip problem IIRC). They then told me they have given him rides before and they said he was the nicest guy. He was disabled and went to school because he had nothing better to do.(he actually goes to school not just wandering there).

He's been going to school for at least 20 years. Thats crazy. Next time I see him, if I do, I'm going to have to pick him up. I feel like crap knowing he's not crazy and knowing he's cold as shit walking with two walking canes.

Anyone else have any stories like this?

Usually if it's someone I have no idea about, I don't stop.
I have stopped before to help someone with a Si and once for a guy with a ls1 camaro.

the only hitchhiker that i have ever picked up was a seriously pregnant homeless woman. She didn't even ask for a ride. I saw her leaning over in pain and asked her if I could help. She said just take me to the metro, I can make it from there.

This random lady walked up to my car one night super late and caught me so offguard, but she app had gotten in a fight with her bf, so i gave her a ride to the nearest gas station so she could call a friend...she got in my car and asked if it was a porsche....this was when i had my sr'd 240 lol

there's one old man who hitchhikes close by, he's known to damn near everyone in the county, him i'll give a ride.


Then there's this one doucher who i offered a ride if he hopped in the back (a buddy was already with me) but he complained about riding in the back of a pickup, after that all he got was ran off the shoulder. Eventually he got a moped and does 30MPH in a 55MPH zone, so now he gets blown by with the horn blasting.

I did once and after what happend I chose never to do it again. I was about to leave the video store next to East side pizza in Portsmouth and this guy came up to my car. He was well kept and had two pizzas in his hands and was like "My friend dropped me off to pick up these pizzas for my family, but now he says he cant come back to get me." (I forget the reason, it was 7 years ago when I was 16)

He was like, "Could you just drop me at my apartment right up the road? Its just a little past Wilson High." I had never done anything like this before, but I felt bad for the guy. He was an old dude and plus I figure what kind of person would be trying to steal my car or jack me with two hot pizzas in his hands! It seemed legit. Plus my cousin was with me so I felt safe with numbers. So he hoped in and I took him down the road.

After driving for 5 mins past Wilson I was like, "So where is this apartment?" Then he started giving me the whole, "Just a little bit farther" Finally we got to some apartments and he was like, "Pull in here." We pulled in and started around the parking lot. There were some girls in the parking lot and he rolled down the window and started to holler at em. I said, "What are you doing!, Where is your apartment?" Then he said, "Ah this is my boyz place, he aint here lets just keep going!"

I slammed on the brakes and got out, ripped opened the back door and helped him find his way out the back of my car. This happend around Christmas time and that year at a family party me and my cousin were give home made shirts that said "Dumb" on his and "Dumber" on mine. Sorry for the long story, but the point is if you dont know them, leave em!

i only pick up your average everyday young adult, who dresses in a normal fashion and only if i have a knife of other accessory at my disposal incase shit happens go down.
