RC-1 - It needs new batteries and it also came like this when I originally bought it. It works fine without the back.

Everything that I got with the camera when I bought it is here. I'm not sure if the software to pull the pictures off the camera is included, but nowadays most people use card readers (much easier and MUCH faster), so it's not really necessary. IIRC all of Canon's software is available to download off of their website.

Off the top of my head other than the XT being smaller in size and a MP difference I can't tell you EVERY difference. The MP is a bunch of bullshit, quite frankly. People like to get caught up in that when even when you blow the pics up it isn't noticeable unless you were going up a significant amount.
