ok i came up with the idea, and dave helped me perfect it. its still a little shaky, but thats just due to my suspension......it will work on my car, and daves, and with steve's, i can just use my head rest (since he drives same gen sentra).....but anyway here are the pics.......

Now that I look at it again, I proclaim myself a genius. I even added a height adjustment. hehehe

yeah, my seat is a lot more shakier than andrew's, so mine was very rough, but still doable, but of course, that's b/c my car is way faster than andrew's, lol :p

just a thought.. to keep it form "shaking"...
where it clams down.. get yourself some of that padded foam from a matress... tape it around the bars where you clamp it.. it will act as a absorber. you will still get some of the "waving" and bouncyness. but the rigid shacking will be gone.

Buy a webcam and park it outside the window where it can see it. I got a Logitec one for like $80 and it has motion detector software, it turns on and starts recording whenever it sees something moving. Pretty strange to see all the shit that goes on when you aren't looking...

funny you mention that.. before i moved out. i had planned on hooking that motion detector software up to one, and drill a whole over my door to my room and have it pointing down to monitor outside my door.. cuse my little sister was always listening and trying to spy and shit. =] i might just do that over hte door to my house now. so when APG/LS-Vtec comes over i can pretend im not home =] hahah.

Well the camera you see in my car cost about $70. I have it conected to my camcorder, which will be secured behind the passenger seat. You could also use a small, cheap VCR as well.

It actually has a very good view. Unlike most camera mounts where the camera is mounted between the driver and passenger seat, the camera is in a position closer to the driver and of course in the center. It was originally connected to the computer in the car, but the computer really can't handle encoding video (not a powerful enough processor, and I am working on that part now). The wife got me a digital camcorder for x-mas so that is what I am using to actually record the video. I can then easily encode it so the I can put the videos up on the internet, etc.
where did you by your camera james?
