I'm not one that is easily impressed but Chad and Brian (I believe) did a great job building/installing/covering my new Olhausen. I also got a fanfuckingtabulous price on this solid cherry table and all the custom items I added. Thanks again Chad.......highly recommended.

Need to get the rest of the furniture (chairs and pub tables)....

Is it regulation size or is it one of the smaller tables? it looks like one of the smaller ones.

It is actually an 8 foot table that just barely meets room specs required for such a size. The room is 16' x 12.5' and you guys might need to practice up a bit, I've played for many more years. ;)

Jackie.............your dining room is grey, not khaki and sage dahling. It does look close to that nice color in your guest bathroom. We are going to steal that color, srsly.

After we left Brian said it was the most spot on felt job he's ever done with damn iwan 860.

It was dead nuts level when we left, no half pipe, no whoopdie doo, nothing.

It's an amazing table, top of the line everything (better then any pool hall you've played in) and everything went super smooth building it. Congrats on the table but I never saw that AV room you kept bragging about and I didn't even snag that road beer.

I wouldn't... I'd assume he was taking it up the ass on camera and selling it all over the internet. To which I wouldn't give two shits... gross, there's nothing you can say after a comment like that and not have it sound dirty.

If that was in fact the case I would express, jokingly, that I was upset he had the money.. People joked around with the pole smoker about his money and said they hate him and wish they had those things.. no one stood up for him (most were too busy kneeling....).

Looks like it's time to upgrade the light above the table too.

When are you hosting the first VaDriven pool tournament?

The slate is 3 pieces so the seam is actually in the middle of the side rails. The seam is butted tight then waxed so you'll never feel it.

What you see is one of two things...the light, or the stretch of the felt (that shit is HARD to work with). Either way it won't affect the play and I wasn't able to notice it after it was all said and done.

I also wouldn't suggest a tourny as just the upgrades alone (sights, balls, felt, finish, etc) are worth more then most peoples pool tables.

It is most likely the flash/angle/shadow and reflection from the ugly ceiling light. The seams are completely invisible...........Chad sealed them all with hot beeswax. I'm still shopping accessories (lights, chairs and tables) which are hard to find in real cherry and Mission style. Wow, starting to sound gay.

What kind of felt is it, Simonis 860? If so that is some FAST shit for a "smaller" table.

I'm still game for a tourney, I'd even break out the "good wood" for it. ;) I think there are quite a number of good players on here but few that could afford to repair it if they mesed it up.

The older McDermott's and Meucci's are worth good coin now, I wish I had held onto the ones I owned. Just like anything else, they just don't make them like they used to. My good wood is a custom cue I had made for me 10 years ago by David Hodges back when he was still building Parrot Cues full time. It would take a large amount of $$ to get me to let that one go.

Unless you're looking into bar tables everything is going to be 3 piece, even 6 footers. The reason behind that is most people don't just place their table in the front door and to the right. Most put it in the frog (front room over garage) or some other random crazy hard spot to get. Having to move a 9' solid piece of slate around corners and what not might not happen.

Anything bigger then 10ft though is 5 pieces. I recently installed a 12ft table and thank fucking goodness it was 5 pieces or else I wouldn't have been able to do shit.

Yes, it's 860. What size tables do you play on if you're considering 9' a smaller table?

I believe that Rich posted that this an 8ft table, that's what I was referring to. I've shot many games on bar tables and I've always felt that they're way too fast with 860, but hopefully the 8 footer will be a little better. Just personal preference I guess.

Gotcha, yea... 860 is going to be fast as hell but there's only one other felt I'd recommend when it comes to quality installs in houses and the 860 is the only one my company sells.
