Anybody know anything about Datsun Dynamics in Vienna? (off Rt 7 / Leesburg Pike)
I dropped my car off their last night to fix some probs and have some new toys installed.
There were tons of Z's there. It was like heaven. Some nice 240Z's in really good shape.

I know a guy in Dulles that has an original 1972 Datsun 240Z (w/ original 1972 VA plate) in mint condition. I almost creamed my pants when I saw it :wow:

Datsun Dynamics is awesome. Also, the body shop next door, Matchless, does great work.

does anyone know a good place to find 240z parts?
My father just bought a 1972 Datsun 240z to restore, so im just helping him look for a place to buy or order parts from.

They do know what there doing and ill give them credit for that but i know i could not afford to go there back when i had all my z's. But i thought they went out of business??? I use to know one of there main tech's and they laid everyone off because they were closing?

Believe it or not, check with your local Nissan dealer... After the "restoration" program, I heard that they had quite an inventory of spares....

currys bought em out and retained the name. last time i was there i was talkin to a guy who was reccomended to me to tune the webers on my rabbit, turned out that he didnt have time because they were in the process of moving their things out. it changed ownership a couple years ago give or take.

Greg got hit hard by a stroke that would have killed most anybody else and his input, both hands on mechanical and business meshed perfectly with Brian's skills resulting in a top notch shop.
For the size of the shop, there was a whole lot going on and it required both of them to be at the top of their game to keep things running.
A couple of guys who used to work there formed an new shop in sterling called creationZ
Here is the link
http://www.creationz.biz/index.html
I worked there in the early 90s and ended up a nissan and toyota master working for lexus as a diagnostic specialist.
Great guys and I really miss sitting in the office laughing at Super Dave videos.

Bringing back this thread because Brian Downey has opened a new shop.....link below.

He is better known as a founder of Datsun Dynamics.
His 23 years running that shop and plenty of nissan dealership experience before that specializing in all things Z car can definately help out many here.
