Ok this question is for my Dad. He has a CRX, and is looking for a second set of racing tires. He is looking at the A3S03 or the V700. But I have heard that the Hoosies dont give you that much more preformance for the price differance. Also I have heard people talking about the life of the Hoosiers, and it wasnt good.

If anyone can shed any light on this please post.

Also he is looking for good 13 inch rims.

Thanx
Michael

Get the Kuhmo's, Hoosier's will loose thier grip to fast. They wear out thru heat cycling as quick if not quicker then the tread actually would disappear.

Hoosiers are really IMHO only for those wanting to get the last couple of tenths at the national tour or prosolo level. If you are just a local autocrosser the performance vs cost of the V700 comes out way ahead of the Hoosier. I heard there were a few people who with co-drivers used more than one set of Hoosiers at nationals for that one event. My Hoosiers have done ok, but I bought them as a used set of tires from someone who does compete at those levels. I have run them at what 2 autocrosses and one track school and I really should replace them now. Using up a set of Hoosiers in a few events is a real possibility.

You did say he had a CRX which is a car that is fairly easy on tires so YMMV
