I got up early Saturday morning. Started getting my riding lawn mower ready for this season. Then a friend called and asked if I wanted to go to the JMU car show with him and another friend. With a nice day finally, I dropped the top on the Jeep and headed to Harrisonburg.

Met up with my two friends and had the chance to see my friends newly purchased car. Pulled up in the drive way and saw his new car.

Never rode in one of these before, I decided I would ride with him to the car show and my other friend would follow in his car.

After the car show I jumped in the Vette with my other friend and hit up Bdubs. After that I headed home to meet up with my dad for his birthday dinner at a restaurant. I was running early though and since moving into the house a few people have been telling me of trails behind my house.

So I drive two minutes up a road behind my house and get to the George Washington National Forrest. Riding down this gravel road here are a few pics of what I found.

This is Catherine's Furnace. Used during the Civil War. It's one of three furnaces used in Page County that produced iron and steel for the Civic War. The material was then shipped off to Richmond. There are about 30 other Civil War History sites in Page County. I would like to eventually find them. There is a map showing all the sites.

Driving down rt.11 had a dude in a SRT-4 pacing us trying to take pics.

Girls would look over and giggle.

I'm 6'5" and comfort for being in a sports car was ok. I probably couldn't drive it because my knees would hit the steering wheel. Has blindspots really really bad and it's hard to back up not being able to see. Def. a fun car though.
