How come you decided to go with the Civic, just curious, since most of the time its vice versa. Usually i see the civic guys going I wish i had a type-r :)

I went with an SI basically because I got an amazing deal on it, Im not going to "hook it up" or anything like that I just wanted a good car that will get me around and last until I can get that supra or Lancer, that we have all been dreaming about....
Brian - no man Im selling everything on the car, that guy looking at it now wants all the parts on it.

I can understand having a stock daily driver, but I'm still confused as to why you're getting rid of the type-R kind of hastily. Are you having problems with it or see problems developing down the road? Or maybe you're tired of the fuss, fun, and tuning, aspect of a n/a to turbo conversion?
Just seems like to me if you're making do with transportation until you get through college you'd stick with the car you have now, unless like I said, you're having problems with it. Care to enlighten me/us? Just my random thoughts and questions, later all.

He's completely right, it's obvious josh is beginning to seriously mature here. In fact he has apparently dropped the teenage/college import modding scene, for the more subtle parenthood mini-van scene. Baby steps my man, baby steps... :)
Just curious how much are you letting her go for?

IMO - if you were really tired of the import scene you wouldn't have gotten what is sure to be the next 'import racer' cover car...
25k for a car that hasn't run a respectable ET...that's disgusting.

Actually Josh choose the right car to buy if he wanted to get outa the import scene. The new Civic Si has failed flat on its HEAD as the "next Import racer" sure it has aftermarket potential, but that car is a absolute waste of and engine, steering wheel and tires. the " next import racer" imo is not even an import...it will be a dodge.
"25k for a car that hasn't run a respectable ET...that's disgusting."
Its a low mileage, limited production car with thousands of work in the engine and other parts. Price sounds good to me.
SHUT UP

Wow so you car runs 12's or whatever good for you , but its still a piece of SHIT. The R never run at the track, but it is worth 25k.
Plus the R will hit 12's easy......
Thank you for being an asshole. :)

From what? Thought your setup dyno'd 240whp, have you gotten it recently re-dyno'd? What has changed? 55whp gain is quite a gain.
I have to agree here, Marshall, along with many other DSMers learn to only think about a car by one thing, straight line from a stop performance. There is so much more to a car and the car world, and its sad when I see DSMers so narrow minded, Granted 25k is a lot in my opinion, and I was thinking more along the lines of 20, but to each man his own.

$25K seems very reasonable for his car. Most ITR's I see are being sold stock for around 20k. With a full turbo setup and everything else he's done to the car 25K doesn't seem bad at all.
I didn't think his car would dyno anywhere near that much HP at the wheels...that's very impressive.

Chris, yea I got some new parts on the car over break, Thermal, FPR, new map sensor ( I can now run more then 8 psi) and the boost was upped...until the 440's got maxed out.

You did all that over break and are trying to sell it within a few days of installing them? How is the car tuned now? Did you take it back to the dyno? Just curious if the 295whp is an estimate? What about your slipping stock clutch? Are you just raping it even more now :).
Glad to see you ditched the NA exhaust for the Thermal, what boost are you running now?

Yea I did it all over break, I already had all the parts just did not have them on, so I wanted to get everything on the car before I sold it, and wanted a shot at 300whp. I retuned the car at inline over break on their dyno. Yea the clutch is still stock but it held up good on the dyno. The car was tuned at 10.5 ~ 11.5 psi when it made 295. But it still runs 8 on the street.
When did inline get a dyno y0?

Was this on 93 octane?

Inline got it last summer look on their site for prices and pictures, chris it was on a quarter tank 93 mixed with 5 gallons of 100.
