View Full Version : FS : Black Nugget - Turbo Built S2000

Black Nugget

After countless hours of tossing the idea back and forth, I have decided it is time to sell my S2000. Please don't get me wrong, I love the car... it is an absolute joy to drive the S2000, however it is time for me to let her go.

The car is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia. I will be willing to drive the vehicle to serious buyers within a 7 hour radius. As well, I will entertain offers for potential buyers who wish to visit my area, by car or plane. With the intense modifications to this vehicle, I will be personally conducting all test drives myself. Once a buyer does arrive showing true interest, test drives will be decided upon accordingly.

At this point the car is at my friends house. The turbo manifold and downpipe were removed so we can install Inline Pro's Updated Bolts. These are specialty bolts that are designed to stay tight and not back out! We suspect things should be done by no later than January 21, 2007.

Enough chit chat, time for the vehicle itself!

Power :

Low Boost @ 21psi - 501.6whp / 288.6wtq (http://poindexter.smugmug.com/photos/115531037-O.jpg)
High Boost @ 27psi - 597.7whp / 381.4wtq (http://poindexter.smugmug.com/photos/115531037-O.jpg)

The tune is safe to drive around daily, however is nowhere near it's full potential. Right now it is set for low boost on 93 octane pump gas. It starts at 14psi around 4900 rpms and then climbs to 21psi at 9000rpms, making it very easy to control. High boost is set for C16 race gas, holding a steady 27psi through most of the rpm range. However ignition timing for high boost and low boost is the same, it was not advanced at all.

For the new owner, I would recommend the purchase of a Tial 44mm Wastegate and then have the car retuned for 18psi low & 32psi high boost. This vehicle should have no problem making well over 600rwhp.

I really didnt need to see this thread. I kept joking that the only S2000 I'd own is either white or black with a hardtop because I figured I'd never find one. Now here's one within walking distance with...oh...500hp.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

How streetable is the unsprung clutch + Comptech flywheel combo?

dave22
01-02-2007, 10:36 PM
It shudders a bit but it's nothing you'd be bothered by.

Black Nugget
01-02-2007, 10:48 PM
Honestly, Dave is right... for being a 6 puck unsprung clutch it is a lot easier to drive than I had thought it would be.

You've had way too much time, money, and certainly blood into your creation Chad.

I'm really disappointed to see it for sale.

Consider taking this summer with it, going easy on it out of the hole, and just ENJOY it.
