Just wanted to put in a good word as well. I got a baseline on my SC today, and got to see what my car was actually doing Air/Fuel wise.

Called around this morning and talked to a few dyno shops, dont know who it was I spoke to on the phone at Dyno Inc. but they were very curtious and told me to come in whenever. Got there they pulled a car out so I could Dyno.

Very good price as well.

blackevo110
07-23-2006, 01:53 PM
what are you talking about.

and the work preformed was a reflash on an evo 8...first pull before the flash was 204hp and 197tq as i recall (on a mustang dyno) and after the flash he netted 250hp and 247 torque, i need to go grab the sheet, but either way it was a massive gain from a reflash.

Dyno Inc. gets a  from me. As soon as I called for an appointment, they got me in the next day. Started no more than 5 min after I got there and finished it quickly. Even though I am a subaru newbie, they explained everything to me as it was done like it wasnt a hassle unlike other places I have been to.

Thanks again, you have my business.

I know it isn't what you all usually do but im curious of how little horsepower my 95 altima is making ive done all the bolt-ons had it dynoed when it was stock. Just seeing if I could set up a time when i could bring my altima by and get her on the dyno before i do anything else to it. $50 is a great price for pulls and especially to have nice people doing work on your car. Please let me know.

do u guys like to work on teal civic hatchbacks, the only reason i asked is because i raced this teal civic hatchback and he had dyno inc stickers on it and he roasted my ass, it sounded like a single cam, i have a gsr fully built hatch and i think he had just a single cam, but i have no idea whats in that think but he toasted me. so now i think i am going to trade my gsr swap straight for a single cam, they are just way faster. the guy who driving the hatch said his name was travary, he said it was his friends car. i think they were gay lovers or something because the black driving smelt like straight poopie and i was 10 feet away from him. oh yea i hate big head dudes who drive white imprezas with wrx swap who hang out with guys named mj.

Jakers
04-16-2007, 11:20 AM
Yes alot of good numbers but that all depends on what you have done to your motor. If its stock then theres only so much u can pull out of stock motor. No lets say in fully built na or even turbo charged then you can get great numbers. It just depends on what mods you have.

Have you gotten good numbers from any so far?

we do reflashes on subaru's and evo's with our software...if software is supplied and we know the interface, we will and have tuned it...
the gains you see really depend on what mods are done to the car. how far past the factory parameters you really are.
The most powerful sti reflash we've done made 420 hp 480 lb-ft on our dyno and 477 whp and 534 on a land & sea...so there is lots to be had with factory ecu's

PM me what do you have done to your evo...I can get a you ball park gain or get you close comparison to another car we've done

Out of curiosity, what kind of tuning software and what not would you use on a 2001 Chevy S-10. Engine is 4.3L V6 with a Procharger trying to push 10psi. Right now I have an FMU setup on it, but I'm planning on changing it over to a fuel rail setup so I don't have to use that.

well, I know a lot of our domestic customers like HB tuners...but I'm not sure if they have anything for you...I can look into it if you would like.
I personally preffer standalones...be it plug and play or wire in over the factory ecu.

Im a little late on this...

I had some ecu trouble with my caR so i took it to them for the chrome ecu chipping and tuning deal. needless to say they spent damn near 2 hours working on my shit trying to get it running good. it wasnt tuning on the dyno but it was all i needed to get done and for the cost of it all it didnt even make any sense for the amount of time they spent. such a good deal

i believe its 150 an hour, they did my car and it runs great, smooth, and still gets 31mpg with some 550's in there, mj took the time to low throttle tune it and i was very happy with that. ill be going back soon to turn up the boost when i get some bigger injectors.

Im getting my turbo installed on my gsr eg by Dyno Inc. and my clutch and so far they have answered all of my questions and are quick. They've been very helpful. I will update tomorow or Saturday when the car is done and tuned. I can't wait!

They got my car done quick and the whole crew was very helpful. They told me what parts I needed and I listened and now I am very very happy. They will lead you in the right direction. Its not even worth getting parts off of Ebay when you can deal with these guys. I am going to end up having them take care of EVERYTHING related to building my motor. Great prices too! Thanks so much---now my vadriven name speaks the truth!

Uh, I built that motor... and I can assure you no bolts were left loose, nor was the timing off... if the timing was so far off, then the valve lash woulda been way off too... (crank at TDC, set lash #1, 180 deg, set lash #3, 180, #4, 180 #2)

The reason we will not warranty anything is b/c we did not install it into the car. I've built motors for people and they go home, install it, hook shit up wrong, call up complaining, bring it in, only to find out (actual examples) wires hooked up wrong, coolant lines going to the intake, etc...

I build about 90% of the motors at Dyno Inc. Ask some of the customers, I am extremely meticulous about everything I do.

I dont think there has been a single motor that i have built for a customer that has blown up. There is one that i can think of, but from the looks of the oil pan, he never changed the oil, and said his oil light came on... (uhh, pull over???)

Sorry for the rant, but sayin the motor was built incorrectly, I take that as a direct insult. Just the way I am.

As for dyno inc tuning... I cant think of too many people (im sure there are some) who daily drive a honda with 500hp (b-series at that)... and thats on 93 octane... If anyone doubts the car, please let me know... because, again, I built the motor, turbo manifold, full 4" exhaust, charge piping, ect.... and tuned it...

Now, I do owe Darius quite a bit for the knowledge.... ;)

im not going to argue about it , just stating the facts, and everything i said was wrong WAS wrong with the motor until my boy fixed everything, (he guy that should have built the motor in the first place)fgured a shop would do a good job on it so he didnt want to chance having my friend build it......boy was he wrong!!! as for the oil light he never started or drove the car after that, he is very meticulous and takes very good care of both of his acuras. We did find out what was the problem when we dropped the oil pan to check the rod bearings,...............the nut holding the oil pick up was missing!!! Like i said im not arguing about it just stating the facts. After trying to get yall to fix the leaking headgasket he had to pay 300 for yall to put a new headgasket on, so then after that it wasnt even worth calling dyno inc back for yall to fix things that were paid to have done right in the first place.

1. motor would not start upon swapping the motor in
solution (timing off) fixed and fired right up

2.headgasket leaking antifreeze decent
solution (taken back to dyno inc paid 300 to fix)

3.oil light coming on after about 100 easy driven break in miles
solution ( oil pan taken down and oil pickup nut missing )
- car has 300 miles on it now and running good on all motor break ijn(thanks Dyno Inc.)

Sign on the door that states that they are locked out due to something about not paying rent. When I go back up there I will post pictures of the sign. It's all locked up. It doesn't say "we're closed forever", but it's a note from the person who locked it up or the landlord. 08-12-2009, 11:22 PM
How is that Karma? If you're referring to Matt, he was a shitty shop guy. He broke shit so you would have to pay to have it fixed. He pushed shit so far past the limit on the dyno just to see you dish out more cash to get it fixed. Matt being shitty, I agree with. Darius is a cool guy and a great worker. Same with Lamar. I don't know tim too well, but he seemed alright. So if by "Karma" you are referring to "Matt's stupid car games"...then I'd say your decision is slightly misplaced.

What I'm saying is, I hope you don't own the Orange supercharged Z. But I saw someone managed to get the windows up. Lamonte, when can I come and get my silencer back? I need it on. As well as my base exhaust.

Lol, this whole locked up shit is weak.

Dyno gay tried to rip me off quite a few times, and the encounters that I've had with them are all horrible. Went once to get an estimate on Charge pipes/ DP. Well, needless to say they had no fucking idea what they were doing. One person wanted to cut off the wastegate flange and move it because he said the dumptube wouldn't clear. Heh, even though the dumptube that did fit was in the box I brought them. That and they wanted almost $800 for the charge pipes/DP- and they were welding egay pipes.

Also I had a chipped ecu that I needed a basemap thrown on. Apparently they needed a week and I can't remember the outrageous price they quoted me.

This shit's weak, because Dyno Inc is a sketchy business, run by sketchy people.

i have known the guys at Dyno inc. since they opened, and have never had any issues with them, they have always been more than willing to help me out.

Darius, Tim and Lamonte, are always hooking me up with some crazy ass deal, and i can always count on them to have a part i need, and if they don't have it in hand they can almost always find it quickly for me,

that goes for any shop. i know people that can go to the same shop as me and get tuning done for almost half of what it would cost me or get a killer discount on parts that i would not get. its not what you know but who you know. i am sure if i was up someones ass enough i would get "crazy ass deals" as well. not trying to discredit you or this business, its just how most private owned businesses work.

+1 They tuned my B16 turbo and it blew in one month , also they built a fully built motor for my boy and left the oil pick up loose ! Also they didn't torque the head down correctly and my boy had to go through and tighten up all the loose ends. They charged him to do another headgasket $300 bucks and it blew again. My boy got a real mechanic to work on it and found that they pryed the head off with a prybar and left dents on the deck causing all of it. Keep in mind this a fully built motor that he paid top dollar for them to build. Also, they never answer the phone all the time when he would call and ask them about it. Also, the motor went in with type R cams and left with GSR's. SKETCHY, and this guy Lamonte is the helper dude that sweeps the floors . Thats the only experience I have had with them and never will have another.

Sign on the door that states that they are locked out due to something about not paying rent. When I go back up there I will post pictures of the sign. It's all locked up. It doesn't say "we're closed forever", but it's a note from the person who locked it up or the landlord. Your best bet is to talk to darius on his cell or maybe hit him up on myspace or some sort of email. It's been locked up since monday

Jeeeeeeeez I wonder why.

NOT HURTIN US. dont like our dyno then put it on a dyno jet. every shop has a customer that has complaints so whats new thats all apart of having a business. why hate on a shop for. if our tunner tunes a car and the tire pops going down the street they blame the tunner cause the tire was fine before it cam to our shop come on man be real. it will always be something. actually if the tire was fine before and you guys "TUNE IT" or whatever you guys call that shit, and it blows out all of a sudden, it may possibly be your fault, especially if you didnt see the tire was a kind that is known to be eaten up by dyno rollers (aka a slick) and you didnt suggest a switch to the customer before tuning......

but hey all i hear about is break in tunes from you guys, everything is always a BREAK in tune, yet i talk to the people and they say its fine for me to beat on it blah blah blah, but i never see any kind of power from any of the cars, and the only excuse is "its only the break in tune". yet i never see or hear about more, before the car A, blows up, or B, dissappears.......

but im deff not a fan of your shop, since the old days, nothing personal against the alledged "new guys" but i still havent seen or heard of any kind of REAL changes.

call me a hater or not, but i have seen how all the local shops work, some from the inside others from my friends being on the inside, and sorry to say, dyno inc is the last one id call a shop....... especially if rent cant be paid and the people who run the shop cant even get IN the shop. that means technically yall went out of business, because how do you do business when you cant get to half of the customers cars, or your own tools.....

Motors are what really hurt the pocket! My ''boy'' with the Integra didn't want to fuck with Dyno Inc. anymore after he found out how fucked up the motor was, being as he is not mechanically inclined but has money. Ya know what? Im sick of your mouth... All I hear about is the shit you talk. Im usually not the type who lowers myself to get involved with the gay internet bashing... but guess what... How about this... instead of going off of what OTHER people say and YOU talking shit... how about YOU run YOUR car against MY car and we will see what happens? After all... I built my engine and I tuned it, and being I tune the cars there... it should speak for my abilities! I will let you run whatever gas you want, and I will run pump gas! Again.. this needs to be YOUR CAR vs. MY CAR!

If for some reason you cant make this happen because your car is too slow, or broken or whatever... then how about you shut your stank ass mouth up? k thanks bye bye!

hahaha im so happy to see that you as a employee of a shop is so offended by someone who really didnt even BASH you.

and im curious as to what you have heard about MY MOUTH about your shop. id love to hear what im always alledgedly saying........ i USED to trash talk your shop so much it wasnt funny, until a few friends told me straight up you guys had changed your staff, and became a better shop, and they had thier cars worked on by you guys and didnt have any issues, and yes i even said it myself a few times..... dyno inc has gotten better than they were when it first opened.
but since you just became ignorant shop worker number 1 in this thread, my opinions and im sure every one elses who will read this has changed. look BRO, im sorry your only way to solve shit is to race, and me not owning a shop is the kind of person you want to race like its a grudge match makes no sense to me. but honestly you dont know me at all, obviously because you just told me to race you and if you knew what i RACE NOW, you wouldnt be all hype about letting me choose what gas i want to run, or giving me advantages...... it should be me saying when, you run what ever GAS YOU WANT, what interstate, and how many car lengths you want me to give you so i can gain those back, and take 15 more.......... whether your dyno inc, accuracy automotive, or ramey built....... id make a statement almost identical if it came down to a race.....

you guys have prime local, a dyno, and alot of space, thats perfect shit to have to be a sucessful shop, but i think that you guys either A, have the wrong people working there again, or B, the wrong mentality towards it all. no shop employee should be sitting here trying to talk shit to a potential customer. especially one that knows the original staff of your job, the kind of sketch ball shit that has happened in that shop, the horror stories that people that have from your shop, when they go to another shop because they would much rather not deal with you guys anymore.

and keep in mind TIM, im the type of person that if i were to talk shit about you or have no regards for your shop whatsoever i would have blown this thread up along time ago........ and have a weekly post of another horror story that i get from your previous customers.........

word up. tell your boy tim that as well.
i dont know you personally, i have seen your car get beat by a 4 door on portsmouth blvd etc etc, i just know after you had another local shop build your motor, i heard good things about the build, aka, nice turbo setup, nice shit used to build the motor, but i heard it started smoking like a freight train after you got it tuned. and now its blown up, and your selling the car for 1800 bucks.......

but the guy who put your motor together does great work, never had any issues with assembling any of the many motors he assembles and was told by alot of people that your setup was going to be good for alot of power.

all because people always think when i post im talking shit about someone.

i never knew i got under peoples skins this bad. im still laughing at how the people that work there are acting and trying to type, and use correct grammar, yet they want to work on peoples cars, which i must say is alot harder than proper english grammar.

thats cause you are/ and always do...haha.....

i had a good experience at dyno inc a few years ago..I havent been up there in a minute and dont know anyone who works there now. When Tucker worked there and MJ was doing the tuning and such, I had my car tuned there and it ran great. But i have no experience with them as of the last few years.
