Whoa, think you might be on the wrong website haha. Are there actually mini-bike drag racing events? Doesn't sound too exciting.

actually there are some guys in suffolk doing it, and there are a couple of 4-wheelers at northeast dragway on fridays (6.70@94mph). you can also checkout slades park in surry they have sand drags there.

Are these the same mini-bikes that I see kids riding around on all the time? I thought those things were electrically powered.

this would be fun if i had my old bike.. ysr50 with a quadzilla motor (500cc 2stroke)

but it wasn't practical

4 wheeler drag racing would be fun I just got an 01 banshee that i have been playing with in my neighborhood. I haven't heard anything on this whole pocket bike racing scene though sorry haha.

hes talking about a real mini bike like old, not the new pocket bikes i think he has like a 11hp honda engine on it.

I have 2 of those pocket bikes. (Not the shitty slow ass kind from Pep-Boys)They only get up to like 42MPH max.

nope, the guys in suffolk are racing the mini crotch rockets, they are extending the rear swing arm and everything.There are even some drag racing their tricked out dirtbikes.

Gotcha, haha, those mini-bikes for kids is what I had pictured in my head when reading the first post.

yeah the best "real" pocket bikes are the yamaha ysr50,honda nsr50 and aprilla has a 50 too. i'm sure there is a couple other makes but those are some of my favorites

at a bike event in jacksonville NC i was able to put my 49cc stock blata on the track.

18sec @29mph down the 1/8

there are pocket bike autocross(i guess you could call them)tracks. there are goped races too if you didnt know that already. people dump thousands into their gopeds and race them. i thought about doing it but on a budget level. theres like 5-7 goped races here in va beach coming up.

are you all talking mini dirt bikes or pocket rockets, because slades park in surry has all type of dirt bike classes in drag racing and motorcross.

figure, if a Jr Dragster with a 5hp B&S on alcohol can run quicker 1/4's than alot of street cars... why can't a minibike with a 11hp alky motor? :P
