OK guys, laugh if you want... but once again this year I'm going to run Street Stock at Southside Speedway. This year I'll be driving a early 80-s monte carlo instead of my camaro. Body is straight as they come.... perfect for some cheap sponsors.
We run every other week at SS and I'll be running prob 5 races at Langley once I get another rear end to swap out (slightly diff gear ratio)
So, if you know anyone... I mean anyone that would be interested to throw 100-500 bucks for a section or the whole car let me know! Everything will be in high quality vinyl and the paint will look even better than it did last year (Mine was easily nicest out there)
Some background on me, racing since age 9 (now 28), carts and r/c cars (3rd in east coast one year!), Mini-winston cup cars, driven NASA events, tried some modifieds too... I'm experienced in setting up cars so this one shouldnt be a slouch at the track
Basically, it isnt some POS with roll on paint and a cage thrown in it. Its a nice nice race car that should do well this year. We now run friday nights with all the other races, a full 50 laps too... about an hour of track time with a couple of cautions (not too hard in this class with 25-40 cars in a .3 mile track)
