I hear more and more enthusiasm for this project and this movement. But I see nothing solid. I believe this movement needs is a timetable in order to set goals and give a sense of urgency in which to set everything in motion. The things I am hearing form the chatter is this...
1. PAC
2. Location for a 'safe' meeting place
3. A suitable location to race in order to reduce street racing
What has actually been done in response to each of these? Anything concrete? Everyone is talking but I haven't heard of any meetings with city officials, I haven't heard any dates planned, projected or otherwise. Organization seems to be very top down on this one when the low level is kept clueless. While the merits of this approach are evident it leaves much to be said of organization. There are allot more people who want to help but are simply not being tapped. The efforts need to be alot more cohesive and alot less divergent in order to attain the goals vaguely outlined on this forum and elsewhere. Hopefully this will move some to act more decisively in the months ahead if any movement is going to be made this year.

We know there are a lot of people that want to help, but we are dealing with an issue of the same key officials being contacted with the 3094393847 that want to help. We had 2 meetings already and setting up a 3rd on the peninsula side. With the last meeting that happened, lots got established and settled. We have our own timetable within our group and are on schedule thus far. Nothing is going to be concrete till this 3rd meeting which is open to the public. Through this meeting, we hope to hear feedback and concerns and maybe even something that hasn't been discussed in the previous 2 meetings.

I'm speaking for myself, and only myself here. I rather go public when I have things set in stone. The one thing I don't want to do is promise on something I can't deliver, so be patient.

As far as the track issue thats pretty much wrapped up, NORTHEAST DRAGWAY in hertford, fridays are open and we are working on either one night every other week, or one sunday once a month(the sunday only because track is normally closed on sundays),sucka 306 and myself were at the track this past fri and talked, I'm talking with the track owner who is all for whatever we decide, I will have proposals at the next meeting for you all to vote on.By the way glad to see all of you who are up here down there, tony wants more of you there on fridays 7-10, and if the lanes are filled to capacity they will accomodate us and remain open longer. I will be there taking pics some friday nights

I agree, if we go public to soon it could end up doing more harm then good.

i didnt know there was a track there in hertford, its only 60 miles away, could probably get there in 45 minutes. It would probably have a bigger impact to keep racing off the streets if we opened the track on a friday or saturday night

It is good to see everyone is eager to help, your time will come soon. i have talked with city and state offices till i lost my voice, lol. I explain and they want to help, it took a long time for the problem to come to a head(564) And it will take a while but is is moving fast!! I have been in CCCHR almost 15 yrs and its going faster for you than it did for us, we started from scratch and now have 5 councils in va.

i'm not saying things need to be set in stone. i'm not saying we need to go public just yet. i'm not essing any middle level in this, that was my main point. i agree completely with you carlo. but i think that a little bit of the plans and a little bit of organization (made public) would go along way. i'm with you, not against you.
