Yea like i said never mess with these guys. I live 150 miles away and they blantantly lied to me over the phone just to get me to come to the place so they could try to give me the shaft. Asked numerous times if they had an ODB1 B18B they said yes weve got it in stock come down. After a 2 hour drive I get to Sterling to find that there trying to give me an 0DB2 B20. Asked about the B18B that they claimed "instock" just 4 hours earlier on the phone his reply was no but we have B20. I left and went straight to NOYAN and I got what I wanted there.
DON'T BUY FROM THESE GUYS OR IF YOU DO DONT TRUST A WORD THEY SAY TILL YOU SEE IT

Sorry to hear about your problem, but my question is, why would you drive 4 hours to pick up an engine??? shipping is not that expensive. my next question is why would you want a obd1 b18b....get the obd2, less miles and will still interchange.

Japan Star moved to NY..Albany maybe? (rumor, we think they affiliated with a Canadian importer)

Noyan (arash) is good people...just make sure you ask for good stuff.

Working for an import company (japan direct), you get to know the crooks and the people that will help you out in this industry. its common for us (importers) to sell from other importers stock...and we get #'s of calls a day about people "coming down" to pick stuff up and never see them. so they arent completely to blame.

Next time just get it shipped, then if its the wrong thing...refuse the shipment and decline charges on your credit card.

you're insane.

I've never seen a good motor come from those fucks.

Haveing personally purchased over 25 motors/front clips from Noyan, and only having on bad clip (which he promptly replaced with a whole nother clip). I can speak from experience when i say that Noyan will treat you right.

Yea refusing the shipping charges and delining the credit card would be a good idea if it was wrong the Japanese Engine Import did offer me a good price on a long block 500 bucks. So that was my reasoning on driving down there but once i got there i was just so pissed it was a B20B I stormed outa there and got what i wanted. Thanks for the replies tho. Also I wanted an ODB1 because my harness was brittle and plugs were busted on it so i figured kill 2 birds with 1 stone. My teg original engine had over 250,000k not to mention the 75,000k of red-lining I put on it LOL

listen up im ford all the way and im rocking twin pro -chargers and if your knocking on japs so much why the fuck are you inquiring about honda motors to begin with. my lug nuts require more torque than your honda makes.

remember there is no replacement for displacement...something along those lines

How the helll would you know how long they dealt with me. And how do you know that they said that they didnt have it???Why would i drive all the way there if they said no they didnt have what i want???? I called them once and about a week later I called again and they said yea its here come down and pick it up, within 3 hours I was there and I get the line well its an ODBII B20B but you can just change all your senors, intake, dizzy, and alt and it will be fine(yea that woulda been fine but it wasnt what I had asked for before I drove 2 hours there). Sounds like there the ones that need to get their story straight and that there a "flaky" business if anything. Why must people keep defending these idiots? Has anyone ever had a good experience with them??? IMO I would rather pay a extra hundred or so and have some respect with who im dealing with than get it cheaper and be lied to.

LOL 1991SI Just noticed that you signed up for this forum just to post in my thread. I feel honored. Guess all you douche bags got each other backs huh

I know they guy personally, he told me the story he didnt make it up, get your shit straight, Dont flatter yourself thinking I signed up to just post on this thread. I just dont see the need to have such hate for these guys, it is one bad experience, Lots of people dont like Noyan and bought a motor from them and it has given me no problems and is quick, nobody is perfect. You need to relax and do research on the place you buy the motor from before you buy it. And the name calling is real mature, since you know the guys so well. Good Day

I dont care what he told you there just is no reason for lying. This guy sounds like a pathelogical liar to me because hes giving you a way different story than what really happened, believe what you want I know what really happened. There is reason for hate when you have someone habitually lie to you(George W. Bush).

i know im bringing this back from the dead:

Noyan sucks to... Japan Star Motors are the best.. now JapaneseStarMotors

Japan Star Motors was a sketch ball business. I bought my SR motor from there a couple years ago but my overall expirience is they are sketchballs that dont really kno anything about the motors they were selling. The only person that kinda knew something about JDM Hondas was some 18 year old kid that worked there part time. Last i heard, they were under investigation for stolen motors. A few weeks later, the business completely vanished. Everything was gone from their warehouse. All of a sudden they relocated to NY or w/e and changed their name. Yaaa..

As far as Japanese Engine Import, I know some ppl who prefer this place over Noyan. Either way its just more options for us.

Yeah I agree I got my SR20 from Japan Star and the only person their who knew what they were talking about was this kid about 17-18 I got it for 1500 so I cant complain, the motor came with a seized turbo but I didnt care since I put an upgraded one on right afterwards and I heard they got their motors from like Malaysia.

like i said... sketcy sketchy cuz they told me they were from Japan to Canada to US and A! If they weren't sketchy, they wouldn't have to keep moving across the country and making new names.

anyways back on topic... Japanese Engine Import. I went there yesterday and chilled with some of the guys. My buddy actually use to roll with them a while back and they seem to be good people. Oh they also have a VERY good inventory with motors that all look spotless. RBs, CAs, SRs, 2JZs, 13BREW, B18C, H22 S. Ppl should check the place out.

yeah i talked to these dudes a couple of times but they seem pretty decent. BUT I DO FEEL YOU ON THE DRIVE 2/3 HOURS.. SUCKS! to be honest dealing with any japanese engine place some motors are good and some arent... just the luck of the draw! get it tested up front, check it over really good, thats all you can do basically. back to the luck of the draw, i bought three itr swaps from JAPAN STAR when they use to be located in manassas and all three motors were excellent! NOYANS- arash is pretty decent when it comes to hand picking your swap but me personally if i spend $$$$$ on any swap im checking it over 100% if the place doesnt let you then dont buy from them. it kind of sucks because you could get a bad trans most have 3rd gear grinds these days.. its almost best if you buy from someone that wants to upgrade their swap so you can test drive etc.. i had the best luck with IMPORT AUTO SALVAGE but i think they fell off over the last year with jdm parts/motors.
