Just wondering if the registration has been turned off for some time or for good? Curious because a couple of my friends, who are legit and who I can vouch for no bullshit or drama, were trying to sign up but couldn't

i concure.invite only through other member with some time on the boards.i would say since like 03 but im from 04 so i dont know........
or it could be done by members with at least so many posts or something

Invites from members with over a year on the board, or just from patrons. Those people have access to the entire forum. Then make open registration for the Classifieds. Those people only have access to the classifieds, that way the moron trolls stay there and only there.

Good idea, or maybe if they invite a sucky member they should just lose their inviting privileges, a ban is a little harsh.
