keep it ON TOPIC. this is #2 of 4 in the series held by the Beachcombers Corvette Club. I will not be attending, as i will be in DC. it doesn't really matter for me, since brett will be bending me over on all the straight aways that they have. but anyways, for the newbies, the usual links...

yup, the Beachcombers Corvette Club link (I tried BCC as well along with some other SWAGs b ut couldn't get the right one) does not work. I guess Chad wants to register himself, and only himself so he can be assured of winning :D

Sorry didn't word that right I meant to ask if instructors were available for auto-x. I've never done one before. We get instructors for track days, wasn't sure if they have them available for auto-x novices or not.

OK I signed up but for some reason I don't really feel like doing it. I thought it was funny to see Drew sign up as #50 and we only have 12 people registered so far. That is still only 1 heat. I am sure others will show but I doubt it will be more then three heats. I may try to race on my street tires and see if I can work on being smooth. Who knows. If I show up and a Novice want to ride with me that is more then fine also. Here is the list so far.

Well it looks like I wont be able to make it on Sunday.

Some neighborhood hooligans thought it would be fun to use my back window to practice their rock throwing skills. So I have a very shattered back window, and it wont be fixed until Tuesday.

The glass came in today but, they still need some kind of gasket that will not be in until next week.

Sucks to be car-less for the whole freaking weekend! :curse:

I'll try to still come out and spectate though.

coming from anywhere in tidewater.

1. take Indian River East (like your heading toward the beach)

2. after the kempsville traffic light the road splits, stay to your RIGHT

3. the road sorta splits again, stay to your right.

3. follow that all the way down, you'll pass some trees, and the speed limit goes down to 25mph, then you'll hit a stop sign. make a RIGHT

4. at this point your still on indian river road. you will go over a little bridge, through some more woods and come to a stop light. go through the stop light.

5. then some more woods, and two big ass neighborhoods on your left. keep on going through some more woods and you'll come to another traffic light.

6. at this point you should be able to see the "red barn" gas station on your right. Make a LEFT at the light.

7. you will pass "pungo off road" on your right

8. you will pass " pungo pizza" on your right

9. right after pungo pizza is a gravel/dirt/shitty road with an old chain link fence. there may or may not be a sign but you need to turn down the road...... remember its directly after pungo pizza.

The only thing that sucked is that during the fun runs I swaped cars with the silver Bug (I have the red SpecV). And, he beat my time by .3 seconds. Oh well I have only raced a few times and am still learning.

My best time was 42.159 in a bone stock SpecV in DSX..

I was really pleased with my times. This was the first event that I really ran the race tires all the way through and my car didnt break! yay! Those old guys are fast!
