There will be a cruise in NoVa on the morning of the event starting from Tyson's II Galleria in front of Macy's on the upper level. The meet will start 8am and will leave no later than 8:30am, so don't be late. We will also be stopping at a Mcdonalds just a few miles up the road from MIR for those who want breakfast as well.

Bring your two way radio's to keep in contact and radar detectors just in case, and make sure you get gas before the cruise.

For those that don't know how to get to Tyson's, 2001 International Drive, McLean VA 22102 is the exact location, then click HERE (http://maps.yahoo.com/dd ) to get door to door directions.

This is a cruise, not a race, so we will be all driving up together and be going to speed limit most of the time to keep any unwanted attention away. Feel free to bring your friends and family and pass the word on. Please post here if you plan on participating in the cruise...

For the past 3 years now I have held these cruises with great results and everybody having a good time, And I expect there to be no exceptions this year.

what kinds of cars run at this? i'd be interested in running, but don't want to go out there and waste spectator's time by running 13s when everyone else is running 10s or something.

Its not about being the fastest unless thats what your out to do, it's about having a good time and they break it down into many classes so that your running people with a similar setup to yours.

What are the rules for each division. Is there a website?

Well I just looked at the rulebook. I wont do well in the division I am put in, but could give you a good idea where GNs and Supras will clean house. I know of nasty turbo viper down the street in Glen Burnie if it comes would do some damage. Domestics are severely handicapped in the rule books.

I'm running in the same class as the Supras and GNs as well and I do not plan on placing what so ever, while to qualify you must run in the 9's & 10's usually. And yes, Domestics are handicapped and thats why they have been loosing at this event at MIR for years now.

So is there a regular "Test and Tune" part to this event? Or just qualifying/heats/main....

The day before the event, Saturday Nov. 5th is test and tune. On the day of the event, if you are there early enough, the 1st couple hours of runs don't count until qualifying starts.

Our group will be at MIR running. I know I will get owned in my class, but it is always fun to compete. makes you run better.

It looks as if my lexus will not be making the trip, the block is in TX right now as the car sits engine-less in my garage, but I will prolly be riding in my buddy's White 2.5L S2k w/gold volks.
