Local Softball Leagues?
Looking to join a softball league specifically in or very close to Va Beach. I saw a thread for one in Newport News, but that's a bit of a drive for me. Anybody know of any?

For what time of year?
Our spring team starts up the first week of May I think.
Age? Ability?
We are a YOUNG team...such as noone over 30, most are just graduating college or still in. Not a power team, but a team with good cohesion and bromance
That and the DC Sniper resides in left field.

Any time of year, May sounds good to me. I'm 22, played baseball since I was 6, but haven't played since my senior year in high school. Played JV my freshman year, and varsity throughout the rest of my high school career. Use to be quick with a decent arm, but havent played sports in years, so we'll see

What goes into organizing a team? I'm more than happy to, I just need some contacts to...contact.

"Team registration for Adult Spring Softball will be February 23 through March 13. Franchise fee is $500 per team. Men's, women's and coed leagues will be offered. Practices will be assigned for April 1-28 and the season runs from May 1 through late July. For more information, call City-Wide Athletics at 385-0458. The registration form for you to download, print and mail in with your franchise fee is available to the right.
REGISTER EARLY! LEAGUES ARE SUBJECT TO CLOSE OUT BEFORE DEADLINE."
So we need to get a headcount of serious interest. If you're interested in playing, respond here or shoot me a PM. Like I said, I'm more than happy to get the ball rolling so let me know!
