No, because I don't drink, but many of my coworkers do. Those are the more local bars/real bars. Other than that, the scene is places like PBR and Luckie's, which are for bros/meat markets.

HOWEVER on the right side of the water, there is plenty of stuff to do that wont kill you!

I've been in the area for about 5 years now and I haven't run into any issues. I will agree though that there are far more interesting things happening across the water.
